Varsapp, with over 100,000 total downloads, is preparing to release the new version of its mobile application soon.

The local startup Varsapp, which conducted its first investment round in September of last year, has closed its bridge investment round with a $200,000 investment after a year-long hiatus. The company, which increased its valuation fourfold within a year, attracted participation from institutional investors like hiVC and Founder One, as well as existing shareholders Mehmet Toprak and Murat Aksöz.

With a total of over 100,000 downloads and preparations underway for the release of its new mobile application version in the near future, Varsapp aims to become Turkey’s largest item rental platform. With the investments it has received, the company plans to provide its users with a better user experience, along with an increase in the number and variety of products available for rent.

Varsapp, founded by Zeynep Eliçin and Hande Sevinç in 2021, allows its users to safely rent items from individuals or major brands based on their daily or periodic needs. In addition to this model, the startup also operates in a B2C business model through its ‘VarsappTech’ category, where users can rent technological products from its own inventory.

As the platform with the most brands in the Turkish item rental market, Varsapp enables brands to introduce their new products to users in the market and gather data-driven feedback to guide their marketing and development activities. The platform, which allows users to rent items for a minimum of 3 days, offers a wide range of products, from gaming consoles to camping tents.

Hande Sevinç, Co-Founder of Varsapp, shared her thoughts following the investment, saying, “We are announcing this investment today, after a period of intensive work to provide the best service to our users. We believe that closing this round with hiVC, Founder One, and our very valuable angel investors is very important for Varsapp and the growing rental ecosystem. We are already very excited to achieve even greater things with our investors. At Varsapp, we offer our users the option to choose a delivery date for the product to be delivered to their address, and our repeat order rate is increasing every day. This helps significantly reduce electronic waste and contribute to the creation of a sustainable living environment. Our goal is to grow much faster and more effectively, introducing rental habits to a wider audience.
